CFT is a science-based approach that helps you build the courage and wisdom to face difficult emotions with empathy instead of criticism. It's grounded in neuroscience and helps quiet the inner critic that keeps so many capable people feeling not-good-enough.

It's natural to take your time considering whether to explore therapy. You may have been to therapy before but still feel stuck, or you may've tried your very best to resolve things on your own without finding relief. It takes courage to explore therapy. Finding a therapist can feel overwhelming, but deciding to take charge of your emotional health is an important step. If this resonates, please reach out — I'd love to learn what brings you to therapy and find out if we'll work well together.

Before our first session, you'll fill out an intake form. We spend most of that session reviewing what you've shared — your background, why you're seeking therapy now, what you do for self-care, and what you're hoping to gain. I'll ask clarifying questions, and you'll walk away with a sense of my style, having had the chance to share your story and feel heard. I'll also introduce Compassion-Focused Therapy and send along a short intro document afterward.

That's exactly what the free 15-minute consultation is for. I'll ask questions to help you identify your current challenges and what you're hoping for from therapy — and together we'll find out if we're a good fit. I explain the therapies I use, and you'll get a sense of my style on that first call.

Yes. You'll sign a confidentiality agreement, and our sessions take place on a HIPAA-compliant platform. Confidentiality has limits only in cases where you or someone else may be in danger — I'll walk through this with you directly.
